Physical Education (PE) Curriculum
All students are taught a variety of competitive games including: invasion (football, basketball, rugby, hockey and ultimate Frisbee); striking/fielding (cricket, softball); and net/wall (tennis, badminton, table tennis and volleyball). In addition, Athletics and Health Related Fitness are taught in each year.
The Outdoor and Adventurous activities component of the National Curriculum is fulfilled through mountain biking, around local Mitcham Common or Box Hill. Indoor climbing and kayaking sessions are also provided off-site. Pupils are encouraged to participate in matches against other schools. For example, we enter the borough 6-a-side football tournament as well as the Borough Athletics Championships each year.
